Mikuru and Rei

These two are my first female figures! Figma Mikuru Asahina and Fraulein Revoltech Rei Ayanami.

I was surprised to see these two in a hobby shop here yesterday, so before I left the store I asked the nice ladies to reserve the two for me. Last time I checked, Rei has an ORDER STOP status from HLJ, and Mikuru has a DISCONTINUED status. Rei has been restocked for August, and I guess the store pre-ordered Mikuru but received their stock just yesterday.

I saw Mikuru from other blogs (Danny Choo, Gundamaniac) posing with different weapons , so I borrowed Buster's rifle for her to try.

I love that face! I don't have Haruhi yet so Rei is the one bullying her for now. So I reserved these two tuesday night, went back to the store wednesday afternoon, and suddenly Figmas Haruhi, Yuki, and Itsuki were there too! I'm still thinking if I should buy Haruhi and Yuki. I need Haruhi to play with Mikuru, and Yuki to join Rei. I think those two will hit it off well coz they both have the inability to register different emotions =)

New Name

I just decided to change the name of my blog.
From Play Time Agenda (playtime4gi.blogspot) to Plastic Caffeine.

Buster Gundam

I got Buster after building my MG Mk-II. It was on sale so I bought it. I always liked the design of Buster from Gundam Seed, it reminds me of Heavy Arms from Wing. I think they are cousins, together with Dynames =)

I tried adding decals on a non-MG model. I think it turned out pretty ok.

Buster has good articulation points, almost as good as an MG model.

It can almost copy the poses from the animation when Buster is firing at the enemies.

MG Aile Strike

This was my first MG model. I got very interested with this gundam after I saw pics of the PG version from Danny Choo. I looked at some pictures of the MG version on the internet then decided to one buy for me.

After some trial and error with smaller models, I was brave enough to paint some parts of this MG. I also applied Flat Topcoat so that the unpainted parts will not give off that "shiny plastic" look.

Red Alert 3

I'm not that into pc games. The only games I played on my pc are battle realms and red alert 2. I didnt try the other more popular real-time strategy titles. I really liked red alert 2, and i think i will get red alert 3 when it comes out in october.

I guess it would be exciting because "The Empire of the Rising Sun" will become part of the game. Think lotsa MECHA!



Units for the "Empire" include a jet which can turn into a mecha called the Mecha/Jet Tengu, a huge robot called the King Oni (which resembles that gorilla type unit from Zoids), a jet which can dive underwater called the Sea/Sky Wing, and a tank which can also attack on water called the Tsunami Tank.

According to wikipedia, one special character for the empire is a psychic commando wearing a japanese school uniform. Characters are small, so I think the short skirt won't be much of a distraction.
